Rules and Regulations

Parking: Unloading of products and equipment, etc. can be done from the street and in front of the driveway. There will be 3 set up times: 8:00, 8:30 and 9:00 to facilitate a smooth set up. After everything is unloaded, cars must be parked on either Moss Landing Road, or Potrero Road. A schedule and a map will be made available at the orientation.

Artists/Artisans (Vendors): Must be present the day of the sale.

Set up and clean up: Each artist/artisan is responsible for bringing and setting up a 4’ x 8’ table (10x10 canopy is allowed), chair, and all merchandise. Everyone is responsible for clean-up of his or her area by 6:00 p.m. on the day of the sale. Please plan to pack out any trash or recyclables that you produce.

Sales: It is assumed that all artists/artisans have a resale license and will include tax in their sales. There will be no monitoring of sales, and each artist/artisan will handle their own sales (Cash, Check, ATM, and Credit Card) in any way they choose. Cash can be attained through public ATM machines located at both the Moss Landing Liquor store and inside the Haute Enchilada. A map will be made available at the orientation. Artist/Artisan keeps 100% of their sales.

Pets: We love animals, but please leave your pets at home.

Restrooms: There will be access to a restroom on site for artist/artisans (vendors) only. The general public will not have access to restrooms.

Light Refreshments: Light refreshments will be made available to artist/artisans (vendors) only, in the artist/artisans (vendors)-designated area. Packing a lunch, snacks, water, and beverages is advised. Other foods may be purchased from close by restaurants and stores. A map will be made available at the orientation

Publicity: A press release will be shared with local media. In addition, postcards will be available to all artists/artisans. Cards will be handed out at the orientation. An accepted artist's/artisan’s artwork may be used for advertisement/publicity before, during or after the sale. Appropriate credit will be given to the artist/artisan.

Merchandise: All of the arts and crafts in each artist/artisans (vendors) space will be original work handcrafted by the artist/ artisan. Artists/Artisans must only display work in the category in which they were juried.

Non-Compliance: All spaces will be vetted and The Movers and Makers reserve the right to remove an artist/artisan from the sale if the rules and regulations are not followed.

Orientation: There will be a mandatory Orientation / Welcome / Informational Meeting (see Important Deadlines - Dates at a Glance)

Liability Waiver/Legal Agreement

You hereby signify that you are 18 years of age or older, you agree to be present during all show hours, and you will abide by all Moss Landing Arts & Crafts Holiday Gift Sale rules and regulations.

You understand that participation fees are non-refundable.

You understand that the sale will commence rain or shine.

You understand that photographs of you and your artwork may be used for promotional purposes, and appropriate credit will be given to you.

Any personal injury to artists/artisans (vendors), or third parties, or any property damage incurred in the course of this agreement shall be the responsibility of the artist/artisan (vendor). Artist/Artisan (Vendor) agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Moss Landing Movers and Makers (Nancy Russell, and Susan Orman) and its agents, volunteers, or any other covered group or individual against all costs, losses, damages, liabilities, expenses, demands, and judgments, including court costs and attorney’s fees, which may arise out of artist’s/artisan’s (vendors) performance hereunder.

The Moss Landing Movers and Makers (Nancy Russell, and Susan Orman) reserve the right to remove any artist/artisan (vendor) from current or future shows at their discretion for breach of event rules and regulations including liability waivers and legal agreements, as well as, disruptive or abusive behavior including violation of applicable laws of the County of Monterey, California.
